Mon, 4 December 2006 A rundown of the best serialized dramas for the weeks of 20 and 27 Nov 2006! Summary of all reviews posted this week (2:02): Best of the Week (9:20): Listener Feedback! (20:07) Comments[1] |
I'm a new listener, but so far I find that I usually agree with your assessments. I'm glad to have a cogent and concise discussion of many shows I watch.
However, I am very curious to see if you will still feel as negative about the long-term impact of Jordan having a baby after viewing the most recent episode. I felt the issue was approached in a fresh way, and that the drama of Danny recognizing and declaring his interest in Jordan overshadowed the pregnancy announcements. Both are items that other shows have dragged out over whale seasons, and I liked how matter-of-fact people were about the baby thing.
Are there no examples of shows where babies didn't ruin things? I fully acknowledge the difficulty of having a baby on set, but (lucky for us) the Studio 60 set is not a kid-friendly location. I would expect an executive to hire a couple of nannies and be done with it ...
