To put it short, so that you might rest a while over the holidays: Yes, you answered my question about the "value" of nostalgic themes in TV shows.
You pretty much honed in on what I intended to ask, I just didn't really find the words for it at the time, so thanks for figuring that out and answering as quickly as you did.
In this case, I can hardly not agree with you. There is the fact that I just can't help myself, I love Christmas and all around it, and I enjoy Christmas episodes very much, character development or no. But just because I enjoy something doesn't necessarily mean the writing staff did a good job. I think I got that point.
Enjoy Christmas, I'll be waiting for you when 24 kicks off.
